Arul D'Souza snares Hat-Trick

In the final round of Under 17-3, Arul D'Souza virtually assurred the team would progress to the finals with an amazing hat-trick to dismiss Narre South for 56.

All 3 wickets were clean bowled on his way to 4/13 from his 4 overs. The team then knocked off the target in 6 overs, finishing on 0/63, with Matty Van Der Ark smashing 41 not out from about 15 balls. This victory lifted the 17/3's to 3rd spot on the ladder and a semi final against Dandenong West.

DDCA Rep Carnival

The DDCA Junior Rep carnival was completed over the weekend, and in a stunning performance, the Under 14's came away with the Russell Allen Shield.

Twin Titans, Bailey Paroissien & Josh Sawrey, both played crucial roles in reaching the final.

Ethan Marinic - Hat-Trick No. 2

Ethan Marinic continued his amazing rise when he snared his 2nd hat-trick in 3 years in the Round 6 Under 17/2 game against Lyndale. Ethan finished that innings with 5/18 and virtually saved the team from certain defeat as Lyndale tried to run down an imposing 228. The game ended in an exciting tie, due mainly to Ethan's performance. A very rare team double hat-trick eventuated when Blake Sully took a wicket with the first ball of the next over.

There has now been 7 hat-tricks in our short history, with Ethan the first to take two.
